About Us
Euro Litre publishes fuel prices across Europe in one place, from the EU average down to the cheapest pump in your town. The site exists so that anyone can check what petrol and diesel actually cost, country by country, before filling up or crossing a border.
What we publish
Weekly prices for 27 countries from the European Commission’s Weekly Oil Bulletin, with the history behind them, so you can see whether prices are rising or falling.
Live station prices for France and Spain, taken from the official national feeds, with the cheapest stations in every region and town, and more countries added as their official feeds allow.
Monthly series for Norway and Switzerland from their national statistics offices, and currency conversions based on European Central Bank reference rates.
How we work
Every figure on Euro Litre is labelled with its source and its date. Averages are averages and are never dressed up as the cheapest price: where a town or region shows a cheapest price, it is the lowest price in the latest feed and the heading says “from”. The full method, including how averages are weighted and when a price is too old to lead a ranking, is set out on our Methodology page, and every source is listed on the Sources page.
Prices are published under the licences of their official sources: CC BY 4.0, Licence Ouverte 2.0, IODL 2.0 and the Open Government Licence.
Who runs Euro Litre
Euro Litre is operated by EURO LITRE, Europe-based. We are a small independent publisher. The site is free to use and carries no accounts and no checkout.
